Gate City Vs. Twin Springs Scrimmage

GC has several baseball starters that are currently involved in basketball at the moment. Once they get to the team, I'm sure they will be fine.

How can you think that way after the maiming that gate city put on burton and powell valley last year. I mean my freaking god, gate city had 12 errors, in one game mind you, and still beat burton. Do you remeber a little five inning affair called gate city vs powell valley? We will be starting basically the same team because all the postions that had been lost have been filled with good fundimentally sound players on both sides of the filled, they can hit and play.

The district once, this year, will come down to Coeburn and Kelly. Coeburn has gotten a lot better and Kelly has the same team that they took to state last year, with teh exception of K. Bentley. So sorry GC your last year in b-ball, in the LPD, you won't win teh Regular Season Chmpionship.

Coeburn has never beat us in baseball...not once last year we played them back to back we used half our bench and stil beat them. Coburn has one player (pate) and all he can do is hit opposite feild. Ive never seen a fast ball from Coeburn VA that was over 80 MPH.

Ok man I ain't gonna argue about it i guess we will see when it comes to the game.

And BTW (Pate gratuated) his little brother plays now.

So when they play this year we will see who comes out on top. And honestly u guys don't have anyone eithe.

We dont have anybody(Buck Eldredge, all state. Tanner Dean, batting average near .500. Jordan Estepp, Will record at least 7 K's against coeburn, Jamie Hackney, Nuff' said. Jon Pope can flat out kill a baseball. Cody Salyers, has played on varsity since a freshman. ) It sounds like coeburns the one with no one. Doesn't look like they'll be filling up that empty state championship sign anytime soon.

We beat powell vally by 10 runs 2 times. not a fluke...just not...thats just dumb.

ok I can't sit here and belive you on all this crap that you are feeding me basically because you have no idea what you are talking about. coeburn has won state once and has lost by a horrible third call strike in another state CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. So before you start to talk about filling up state signs check your facts.

And oh yea btw if you think that you all are gonna win state you are wrong. I will be shocked if you guys win the district or make it out of regions. It is going to be a tough Region this year and i don't think that you all have the guns. For that matter Coeburn won't go either fo the simple fact that they don't have any pitching this year.

One thing for sure whoever wins Region this year it will be a much tougher road starting next season with Va high and Battle droping

I can take you right to the empty state championship sign on the side of there stands at the baseball field, its on the end were the away dugout is.

Hackney may not even play this year. He didn't play at all last year so no guarentee there.

Eldridge is legit, I will give you that.

The Riner boy in right field is pretty steady when given a chance.

Your best all around player is Estepp and he only pitches and plays some at third.

You may be able to play in the district with the middle of the pack but beyond that you will need at least 3 or 4 pitchers to contend.

You lost Rogers at 3rd, Woods at 2nd, and all around player Castle from the infield. Your JV 1st baseman isn't playing this year and neither is your JV 3rd baseman, both of whom would have moved up. You also lost your lefty pitcher in Logan McDavid. Sounds like you have a lot of holes to fill.
